Regarding the controversial spiritual gift of speaking in tongues, there are generally two camps of belief, which disagree with one another. The main obstacle is disagreement on what the gift practically looks like. We can agree on what happened in Acts 2, but is there more to it than that one event? Paul describes the gift in-depth, and describes it in a way that seems to indicate that the gift is more than a “sign” or “miracle” for unbelievers, but can even bring great edification to a believer’s life.
