The Misunderstood Jesus: Why your identity in Christ will be persecuted

When we start walking in Spirit & Truth worship, it is jarring to this world. Many of you have found people start accusing you of legalism and lawlessness – all at the same time, depending on who’s making the judgment.

Why are believers misunderstood, misrepresented and falsely accused? How can we find like-minded fellowship? And how can we explain our identity in Christ to others?

Thank you so much, PD. I just watched the misunderstood Jesus. It was excellent how you covered everything! When I was hearing you talk about those who say we only pay attention to the new laws like in the beattitudes.. I wanted to share some verses with you that you can use in the future if you ever want to. In Matthew five… The first beatitude is blessed day who are pouring spirit because there’s a king of heaven. C Isaiah 57:15 and also 66:2. The next verse blessed are they who are mourning because they will be comforted… See Isaiah 61.:2 and 66:10-13.. the next verse blessed are they who were meek because they were in here at the Earth… See Psalm 37:11 and149:4. The next verse blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness because they will be satisfied, see Zephaniah 2:3, Psalm 11:3-7,, Isaiah 66:11,12. The next verse blessed her, the merciful because they will receive mercy, see Psalm 18.:25, 2 Samuel 22:26. The next verse blessed our day who are pure in heart because they will see God, see Psalm 24:4, 51:10, 15:1,2. The next verse blessed our day who make peace for they will be called the sons of God, see Psalm 122.:8,9, Isaiah 26:12, Psalm 7:3 the next verse blessed are they who are prosecuted because of righteousness because there’s as the kingdom of heaven, see Psalm 38:20, Isaiah 66:5. The next verse, blessed are you whenever they curse you and they persecute you and they say every evil word about you falsely because of me. See Psalm 119.:85-87. For you are the light of the world… See Psalm 89.:15. for those that say these are new laws… These are all in the word of God already written? I would also quote the scripture that says “ I write no new laws to you… Only the ones that have already been written…” All he does is say them again in the beatitudes. There is only one new law that Yeshua gave us.… And that is that we would love one another as much as he loved us! We have already been told to love our neighbors as our self, but he introduces his own, poured out love as a new commandment for us! I pray you continue on in the ministry that you have in His power, and in His glory, and I continue to hold you in my heart and prayers. God‘s blessings be on you, PD.
