Paul’s writings on appearances have often been removed from context to create new laws around dress & jewelry for Christians in certain denominations – what did Paul really mean? While how we present ourselves on the outside does matter, what remains most important is how we are dressed inside. It is easy to become hyper-focused on outward things on ourselves & others, while neglecting our hearts. It is in this state we are most likely to take His name in vain.
