A popular claim made by those who believe spiritual gifts of prophecy, healing and tongues have ceased today is that Charismatics base their theology entirely off emotionalism and experiences, instead of Scripture. But could it be that Cessationists are guilty of the very thing they accuse Charismatics of? Is there any basis for Cessationism theology, and if so, what is it built upon?
