“Wasn’t Jesus the Ultimate Sacrifice?” – What many Christians misunderstand about Leviticus

One of the greatest misunderstandings of the Old Testament, is that the Levitical Offerings provided forgiveness of sin, until Christ came. This confusion hinders us to think Biblically about the Temple and Levitical Offerings in general. In this video, we will explore the Levitical Offerings and Biblical prophecy in detail. Let’s discover the beauty of what God has given in Leviticus!

  1. Thank you for sharing this. It would seem that you see the temple in Ezekiel as being a literal temple during the millennial reign, so with that as a basis, would you say that the sin offering that is recorded (among other offerings) in Ezekiel 45 is there (in part) as a physical example/reminder of sin that exists for those who will still be learning (as physical people) to write the laws on their hearts and in their minds as they come to repentance/sanctification in Christ/Yeshua? As in, this will be used as a picture that again helps to illustrate this plan to a people, and seemingly first to Israel once again, as it says in verse 17 that it is to make atonement for them. You can comment if you’ve gone into this elsewhere since this is the first video I’ve watched here. Thank you !

    1. Hi Lisa, regarding the Ezekiel Temple’s sin offerings – some state they play an actual role in cleansing the temple and altar of sin, others believe they are a symbolic picture of Yeshua’s sin offering (as you mentioned). I lean towards the latter.

Considering the complex nature of these prophecies, and the fact that God does not give full revelation of all prophecies until an appointed time, I am slow to make conclusive statements on them.

      Many blessings,
      PD
