Just before the crucifixion Jesus told His disciples to take swords as they were leaving for the garden. But why would Jesus instruct them to take swords, only to later correct Peter for using it as he cut the ear of the high priests’ servant? In this teaching, we will discuss this question in relation to biblical prophecy, knowing the will of God, being zealous like Peter, and the relevance of the Garden of Gethsemane to this event.
