One Biblical passage seems especially confusing: The punishment of stoning for a rebellious child. But upon investigation, it reveals a deeper lesson (and Good News!) when taking into consideration God’s perspective, the purpose, and the historical application of this law.

I have heard people use this as an excuse to not keep his instructions. They will say “So are you going to stone your children?” Of course not, to begin with if your 8yo is a drunkard and a glutton you might want to check your parenting skills. This is obviously talking about a grown child. They had a much different culture back then where had control over their children even into adulthood. The question we should ask ourselves is will Yah judge us along these lines. Are we too glutoness or do we love our liquor too much? Are we rebellious when it comes to his instructions?
