Usually the phrase “spirit of Jezebel” is misused by abusive men as name calling directed to a woman in an attempt to silence her. If the woman has a different viewpoint, interpretation, teaching, style, etc then what often happens is the threatened man, instead of discussing the subject at hand scripturally or speaking life into a situation, he chooses to take the fleshly approach. It’s so much easier to simply call her a Jezebel or falsely claim that she has a spirit of Jezebel. That’ll shut her down and make sure no one aligns with her. I’ve seen this term misused numerous times by fleshly men who think women should be under their feet or below a man. Any man who does this, is definitely not living and thinking like Yeshua. Sadly, the term is usually misused as an attempt to put down and silence a woman.
