When Yeshua died the veil was torn from top to bottom. What was the appropriate response at that point? I assume they put up another veil as temple worship continued.
Hi John, I’ll answer your question here if that’s OK. We don’t know exactly what they did thereafter regarding the veil (no historical record of it that I know of, and no Biblical record). But I think it is plausible that since the Temple offerings continued for a while thereafter, that they reapplied a veil until the Temple destruction in 70AD. After all, the Temple was governed by a priesthood that for the most part did not recognize Yeshua as the Messiah. A torn veil would not be serving their interests or theology.
