From one extreme to the next. It is true that some are too quick to consider almost everything a demon, but it just as true that some consider practically nothing a demon. Jesus, the greatest scholar, revealed that demons exist, inhabit people, can be cast out by Himself, and those with faith in Him. He taught about them, and there are numerous Biblical accounts of Him directly dealing with varying forms of demonic influence on people.
As much as I wish it weren’t the case, demons are still around, and keep people in bondage. We must not only know how to deal with them, but teach people how to avoid getting them in the first place. And since Jesus taught about them, may we break the worldly taboo of teaching about them? Demons prefer the status-quo, because it allows them to operate under the radar. May the light expose the darkness. And may we walk like Yeshua, to give Him glory.

Shalom, I found out I was affected by demons after 3 years in faith about 4 years ago. Do you believe any sin opens the door to demons or specific ones? As you said there laws from seeking people from doing the demonic in Deu. 18:10-11. Do you think a kid saying the spells of Harry Potter is in actuality dealing with witchcraft and thereby an open door (like I did).
I have heard some deliverance ministers say that we can get demons from watching movies or if you end up agreeing with sin while watching movies opens the door for demons. Do you believe we can get demons from watching movies?
And do you think touching certain items that have spiritual significance can allow a demon to come into you like many other deliverance ministers teach (Like dreamcatchers, yin yang symbols, Harry Potter books, tarot cards, dungeons and dragons, etc.)? And do you think not getting rid of these items can prevent one from being delivered from the certain demon that is attached to that item as many other deliverance ministers teach?
Hi Steven, certain sins absolutely open the door to demons.
It is difficult to say over the Internet which sin you engaged in that indeed opened the door in your own life. That is only determined in one on one ministry. But watching e.g. horror movies over the long term can allow demons in. And engaging with the things you mentioned can open the door to demons. I would absolutely get rid of the things you mentioned, by burning them (Acts 19:19), regardless of whether they are the true source of problems in life. Fictional or real items of witchcraft have no place in a believer’s home.
